Doris L. (Irgens) Valentine

Valentine (nee Irgens) Doris L., age 82, of Mpls., passed away 6/18/02 after a brief battle with cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur & Ruth Irgens; and daughter, Sharon. Survived by husband, Gordon ``Jimmy''; daughters, Darlene Jorgenson, Naples, FL, Susan (Joseph) Hovland, Naples, FL, Linda Witte, Mpls.; sons, Michael (Cheryl), Prior Lake & Scott, Mpls.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Doris was born in Mpls., graduated from Roosevelt (1938), married 64 years to Gordon ``Jimmy'' Valentine, who with their 5 children will very deeply miss Doris's presence. Doris always cared deeply for her family and loved gardening around their South Mpls. home. Memorial Service Thurs., June 27, 11:00 AM at Edgewater Emmanual United Methodist Church, 5144 13th Ave S., Mpls. Rec. to follow at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to American Cancer Society. Private family interment, Braham, MN.
