Dr. Amy E. Cordes

Cordes Dr. Amy E. (nee Embertson), age 91, of Bloomington. Born March 21, 1912 in Parker's Prairie, MN and married Raymond L. Cordes June 3, 1939. Dr. Cordes graduated from St. Cloud State University in Elementary Education and received her PhD from the University of Minnesota. She retired as principal in the Bloomington Schools after 23 years. Dr. Cordes was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years in 1991. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence, Harlan, Harris & Clarence; and sisters, Elma, Hulda & Edna. She is survived by nieces; and many close friends. Memorial service Saturday 10 AM at Dawn Valley Funeral Home (9940 Bush Lake Rd). Burial Dawn Valley Memorial Park.
