Hood Marion Catherine, Oceanside, CA, formerly of Minneapolis, on June 6, 2002. Preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Mae Miller; her husband, Newton Edwin Hood; her devoted companion, Jack K. Tanner; brother, Walter; sister, Ethel. She is survived by her son, William (Margaret) of Minneapolis; granddaughters, Jennifer (Neil) Hetherington of Eagan, Paige of LaMesa, CA, Erica of San Francisco, CA, and Pearl Rose of Mpls; great-grandchildren, Wynne and Peter of Eagan; nieces, Joan Cotter, Suzanne Schoolmaster, Kathleen Stoick, Joyce Harris, and Marjorie Olson; nephew, William Curran; sister, Hazel (Mel) Fawcett, Kerrville, TX. Born Marion Miller, April 24, 1918 in St. Paul. Graduated from Mechanic Arts high school and began a 33 year career with Northern States Power Company. She retired in 1970 as Executive Assistant to Earl Ewald, then Chairman of the Board. She resided in Oceanside, CA since 1981. She was active in several volunteer organizations especially Hospice. She will be dearly missed by her many friends in MN and AZ, her neighbors, and her devoted caregivers, Carrie Kilcrease and Cynthia Cofrfey. Private service and interment.
