Flaa Wilma (Breberg) Flaa was born on April 10, 1907 in Wallace, SD. She married Mervin Flaa in Boyd, MN, in January 1928, and moved to Minneapolis shortly thereafter. They became members of Central Lutheran Church in Mpls where Wilma applied her sewing skills as a member of the quilting society. After Mervin's death in 1965, she regularly attended Sunday services with her sisters Ethel Breberg and Vivian Gens. She was a wonderfully kind and independent woman who always saw the bright side of any situation. She passed away on July 13 at Ebenezer Hall in Minneapolis. She is survived by her two sons, Richard (Myrtle) Flaa and Donn (Shirley) Flaa; five grandchildren, Steve (Kim) Flaa, Terri (Bill) Lawton, Kris Flaa, Mary Flaa and Susan (Jeff) Colby; seven great- grandchildren, Samantha Flaa, Madison Flaa, Jennifer Miron, Stefanie Miron, Rebecca Miron, Erin Colby and Christian Colby; as well as other relatives and friends. Memorial service Friday (July 18), 11 am at Central Lutheran Church, 333 S. 12th St., Mpls. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Fairview Hospice, 2450 26th Ave S., Mpls, MN 55406.
