Bank, Kendall Charles A former resident of Northfield, Minn. died suddenly February 1, 2015, at his home in Tucson, Ariz. He was 69 years old. Ken was born November 5, l945, in Winona, Minn. He graduated from St. Charles High School in St. Charles, Minn. in 1963 and from St. Olaf College in 1967. He received a master's degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Colorado in 1969. He married Rhonda Olson in 1968. He entered the United States Air Force (USAF) in 1969 and completed a tour of duty in Viet Nam and Thailand. After serving in the USAF, Ken and Rhonda returned to Mankato, Minn., where he completed a degree in secondary education from what is now Minnesota State University, Mankato. They settled in Tucson for 16 years where he completed his masters in Business Administration at the University of Arizona and began his career in healthcare administration, working at three Tucson hospitals. In 1988, Ken and his family moved to Northfield where he served as president and CEO of Northfield Hospital & Clinics from 1988-2010. Ken and Rhonda returned to Tucson after his retirement in 2010. Ken is survived by his wife, Rhonda, daughter Erin of San Francisco, son Brian of Fraser, Colo., and daughter Shannon Pitt (Justin) of Tenstrike, Minn., two grandchildren Otis and Presley Pitt; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws; and many dear friends. There will be an open house in Ken's memory on Sunday, March 15, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Northfield Golf Club, 707 Prairie St, Northfield, Minn. 55057.
