Nettie D. Bien

Bien, Nettie D. Age 94, of St Anthony, formerly of Northeast Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2015, with family members by her side. Preceded in death by her husband Michael and brothers Adolph and Walter Serkasevich. Survived by daughters Judy Lawrence (Jim) and Carol Olson (Dennis), son Michael Bien (Joan), grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Ethan and Steven; great-grand-children Isaiah, Isabella, Carter and Owen. Nettie was a long-time resident of Northeast Mpls, who loved to attend various social outings with family and friends. She was adept at balancing work outside of the home with her parenting duties to raise her children in the best way possible. In her later years, Nettie was a constant companion and guardian for her husband, Mike, as he needed extra help and guidance in the years leading up to his death. She was the last remaining family member of her "greatest generation" group of relatives, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
