LaVelle Mildred Margaret LaVelle, 88, a resident of Hiawatha, Iowa, formerly a 60-year resident of Minneapolis, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, following a brief illness. Services 3 pm Saturday, July 12, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion, Iowa by Rev. Del Bear. Friends may call 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Graveside Services 1 pm Monday, July 14, 2003, at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Survivors include her brothers, F. Duane Whiting and wife Jeanette of Ely, Iowa and Ralph C.
