Jeffrey Scott Laukkonen

Laukkonen Jeffrey Scott, age 51 of Edina, died August 20, 2005 in the loving arms of his family after a courageous battle with ALS. Born in St. Paul, MN, he was a 30 year employee of the Ford Motor Company, St. Paul plant. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joel Althoff and nephew, Mitchell Reis. He is survived by his loving, courageous wife, Jan; daughter, Melissa and husband Brent Schulze, New Richmond, WI; son, David, Edina; mother, Phylis Althoff, Red Wing, MN; sisters, Kerry (Joe) Reis, Prescott, WI, and Kim (Doug) Sjostrom, Maiden Rock, WI; brother, Jeff (Karla) Althoff, Chanhassen, MN; sister-in-law, Joyce Althoff, St. Michael, MN; parents-in-law, Bud & Marcie Thorvilson, Edina; sisters-in-law, Nancy and Lynn Thorvilson, Edina; brother-in-law, Scott (Jill) Thorvilson, Rochester, MN; adoptive family, Arvo and Elna Laukkonen, St. Louis Park, Kevin and Karen Laukkonen; many adoring nieces, nephews, and many loving and supportive friends. Special thanks to Pastor Holm, friends at the Ford plant, and Fairview Hospice. Memorials preferred to the family. Private interment.
