Wahlstrom Meta Marie Wahlstrom, 82, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2003. Preceded in death by parents, Andrew E. and Ida M. Wahlstrom, and brother, Richard E. Wahlstrom. Survived by niece, Leah Moyneur (Pat); grandnieces, Laura & Lisa Moyneur; sister-in-law, Carrie Wahlstrom; cousins, Winston Lindberg, Larey Lindberg, Larey Swanson (Craig) and their children; and many other relatives and dear friends. Her kindness, love of art, music and travel, delicious cooking, and deep devotion to family and friends will live forever in the hearts of those who knew her. Meta was born on February 12, 1921 in Braham, Minnesota and spent her childhood years in Rush City, Quamba and Willow River. Her family moved to Minneapolis in the 1940s. She began remarkable career in 1946 with Weyerhaeuser, where she held many positions during her forty-year tenure. She treasured trips that she made to destinations such as Sweden, Egypt, Indonesia, China, and Greece. She served as Chairman of the Evening Friends of the Minneapolis Art Institute during the 1960s. Many thanks to the dedicated staff at Epoch Assisted Living in Minnetonka, where Meta lived her last four years.
