Betty Jean Smith

Smith Betty Jean passed away on June 17, 2003 of cancer. Betty was born in Minneapolis, MN on September 22, 1929. She graduated from University High School, Class of 1947. Attended the University of Minnesota and graduated from Walker Art School in 1950. Her first job was as a commercial artist in the catalog department at Gamble-Skogmo. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Mae and Eddie Schwartz. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Jr.; two sons, Stephen and Tommy III, and her beloved poodle, Oreo Cookie Schwartz, all of Crosby, MN. The God that Betty did believe in is a God of compassion and didn't believe that Betty should suffer anymore. Betty requested that there be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, Betty and her family request memorials be directed to the Jesse Hallett Library, Crosby, MN 56441.
