H. Alan Schlesinger

Schlesinger H. Alan Schlesinger, retired Minneapolis advertising executive on Sunday, May 19 at home in Edina, MN. He was 87. Born in Chicago April 21, 1915, graduated from the University of Chicago business school in 1936, married to the former Margaret Graver, who died in 1993. Survivors include his companion, Lois Martin of Edina; 2 sons, Alan of Convent Station, NJ and John of St. Louis Park; daughter, Mary Guthrie of New York City; grandsons, Andrew of West Chester, PA, and Philip, now in the Peace Corps in Panama; and granddaughter, Robin Schlesinger of Morristown, NJ; and 1 great-grandchild, Grace Schlesinger of West Chester, born the day he died. The family invites friends to attend a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 1 in the Chapel at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 50th St. & Wooddale, Edina, MN. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Minnesota Lung Association, 490 Concorida Ave., St. Paul, MN, 55103-2441.
