Cadwell Marie Cora Meeker Cadwell, 96 years old, of Chisago City, MN, died peacefully on May 14, 2002. Born in Chicago, IL on September 11, 1905 and lived for many years in Illinois. Before moving to Chisago City last year, she lived at Parkshore Place in St. Louis Park, MN for ten years. Survived by her devoted husband, Laurence. They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on December 26, 2001, with many family members present. He sang a love song to her. Also survived by two daughters, Lee (Edgar) Carpenter of Bellevue, Washington and Florence (Dr. Donald) Larson of Chisago City, previously of Golden Valley, MN. Also survived by eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews. Preceded in death by parents; three sisters; son, Rick Cadwell; and great-granddaughter, Hannah Marie Carson. She enjoyed knitting, doing needlepoint, sewing, playing bridge, traveling, doing crossword puzzles, watching her Chicago Cubs on T.V., and especially being with her family. She was always helpful to her family and friends, and she volunteered many hours with her church in Springfield, Illinois. All of her extended family were given many articles of her handiwork over the years. Arrangements with the Cremation Society of Minnesota. Private family burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois, at a later date. Her grandson-in-law, John David Carson, will be honored to officiate.
