Rose Nancy Jane, age 73, of St. Paul, MN passed away on 5/11/02 surrounded by loving family. Born in Boone, Iowa on May 14, 1928 to Nancy and Roscoe Rose. Nancy grew up in Boone and graduated from Boone High School. Upon graduation Nancy became a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell. After working in the Boone office for 35 years, Nancy transferred to the St. Paul office in order to live closer to family. Since her retirement Nancy, a life-long member of the First Christian Church spent many hours making quilts for childrens' hospitals and nursing homes with the Church Sewing Group. Though Nancy never married, she opened her loving heart to all her nieces and nephews and to their children. Over many years Nancy has sponsored numerous children through World Vision International. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother, James and sister, Norma Jean, who died in infancy. She is survived by brother, David Rose of San Antonio, TX; sister, Betty Bigelbach of Minneapolis; sister-in-law, Marcella Reynolds of Oceanside, CA; nephews, Michael Bigelbach of Woodbury, David (Gaynor) Bigelbach of Boston, MA and James (Tonya) Rose of Jackson, WY; nieces, Nanna (Ron) Holliday of St. Joseph, MO, Patricia (Bruce) Brink of Kansas City, MO, Bobbi (Steve) Grannell of Oceanside, CA, Sandra Noskowiak of Ramona, CA; and many grandnieces and grandnephews and loving friends. Visitation Tuesday 2-6 PM at O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home (575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul). Memorial service Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Church of the Good Shepherd Methodist Church (1849 Marshall Ave., St. Paul). Memorials preferred to World Vision Washington D.C. International Programs. Arr.
