Gladys C. Nelson

Nelson Gladys Carol Christensen Hillstrom, 93, of Stillwater and formerly Minneapolis, passed peacefully Thursday morning May 9, 2002. Glady was born on Christmas Day 1908 in Albert Lea, MN and throughout her life, brought wit, joy and a deeply caring heart to all. Glady was preceded in death by her parents; 9 brothers and sisters; and husbands, Vernon Hillstrom and Peter Nelson. She is survived by her son, Steven Hillstrom (Suzanne), St. Louis Park; daughter, Marcia Nelson (Bill Heaney), Stillwater; and grandchildren, Tyler and Tracy Hillstrom, Peter (Marisela) and Eric Hansen, Erin Heaney and Mehgan Heaney-Grier. Glady retired from Cargill and was a long-time member of Crosstown (Elim) Covenant Church, Mpls. Glady lived in Minneapolis until 1998 when she moved to Linden HealthCare Center in Stillwater. A brief memorial gathering celebrating her life will be held Monday, May 13, 2002 from 1:45 PM to 3:15 PM at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 6061 Osgood Ave N. @ Hwy 36, Stillwater. A funeral service and reception will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at Crosstown Covenant Church, 5540 30th Ave S., Mpls. Private interment. Bradshaw 6061 Osgood Ave North 651-439-5511
