Paul Douglas Ponto

Ponto, Paul Douglas Born February 8, 1957 to Raymond and Esther Ponto in Mora MN died January 7, 2015 in Minneapolis MN at the age of 57. Paul attended Mora schools and graduated in the class of 1975. A kind, generous and gentle soul, Paul hit some rough patches in life, but through hard work was able to come out the other side to be the same person he was. A beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, he enjoyed cooking, gardening and figuring out new and innovative ways to make and do things. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Esther Ponto. He is survived by his siblings, brother Larry (Sue) Ponto of Ogilvie, MN; his sisters Marion (Gary A.) Johnson of St. Michael MN, Wanda (Sandy Sackter) Ponto-Sackter of Eagan MN and Ann (Gary M.) Johnson of Richfield MN. Special friend Marci Folk and his constant companions, Spuds and Buddy. As well as many nieces, nephews, uncle and many cousins. Services will be held at 11AM on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home in Mora, MN with Rev. Frieberg presiding. Visitation will be Sunday, January 11 from 3-5 PM at Dresser-Methven Funeral Home as well as one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Grasston Union Cemetery.
