Winslow Marion D. Winslow, age 96, died peacefully on June 19, 2005 at her home in Edina. She was preceded in death by wonderful husbands, Coord Roosen, Henry Neils, and Raymond Winslow. Survived by daughter, Virginia R. Meyer (Dr. George Meyer), Boca Raton, FL; son, Robert Roosen, Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Daniel C. Meyer, New Orleans, LA, G. Christian Meyer, Gainesville, FL, and Rebecca Meyer West, Winston-Salem, NC; 5 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. A native of Minneapolis, Marion attended the University of Minnesota and was an active member of Minikahda Club and Minneapolis Boys and Girls Club. A world traveler and a champion bridge player, she had a sharp wit and a positive, devout belief. She and her husband Raymond co-founded World Orphans, a Christian ministry with over 300 orphanages in 42 third-world nations. She will be profoundly missed by family and friends.
