Rogers Palmer, age 74, of Mpls. Survived by beloved wife, Donna Gunderson-Rogers; loving children, David, Ethan (Carol) and Seth (Cynthia) Rogers, Meredith (Tim) Sokoloski; stepchildren, Christopher (Jessica), Jonathan and Nathaniel Gunderson; brother, Waid Rogers; 6 grandchildren. Palmer was a Professor of Microbiology at the University of Minnesota for 40 years. He was a man of learning. As a scientist, a colleague, and as a world traveler, his life's work was the pursuit of knowledge. As a born teacher, he inspired a generation of students. As a family man, he showed children the way to adulthood. True generosity deeply affected the many who remember him. Palmer remains in our hearts and minds. He will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Memorial service at UNIVERSITY EPISCOPAL CENTER OF U OF M, 317 17th Ave SE, on Monday, May 13 at 2 PM, gathering begins at 1 PM. Memorials to WAMM.
