Soucy Dorothy Louella Frantz Soucy, age 81 of Monticello, formerly of Champlin, passed away peacefully on 5-21-05 at Lake Ridge Care Center of Buffalo. She was born August 28, 1923. She had been a resident of Monticello for the past 35 years. She was employed by Northwestern Bell for 35 years retiring in 1984. She and her husband moved to Monticello when they purchased the Wayside Inn in 1970. She is survived by children, David and Fern Soucy of Anoka, Charles and Barbara Soucy of Anoka, Linda (Soucy) McAloney of Buffalo, John "Jack" and Wanda Soucy of Anoka, Roseanne (Soucy) and Arthur Duran of Monticello, Catherine (Soucy) and Kurt Holland of Detroit Lakes, Carolyn (Soucy) and Daniel Wruck of St. Michael; sisters, Shirley Johnson and Jane Anne Frantz; 21 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband, Flavius J. Soucy; brother, Charles Frantz; and sister, Elaine Frantz. Funeral service Tues. 11:00 AM at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, 250 East Broadway, Monticello. Visitation Mon. from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral chapel and also one hour prior to the funeral on Tues. Special thanks to the staff at Buffalo Hospital and Lake Ridge Care Center. You made her and her family very comfortable during her last days.
