Kaplan Marcella Silbar Kaplan of Delray Beach, FL and St. Paul, died Saturday, May 31 in her 96th year. This last December, Marcella celebrated her 95th birthday in great style surrounded by family and friends who loved and admired her. She's preceded in death by her devoted husband of 59 years, Max Joseph Kaplan and beloved sister, Charlotte Yagoda. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Toby and Mike Chernin and son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Sylvia Kaplan; grandchildren, Jeffrey Chernin & Teri Egan, Shelley & Michael Herzfield, Jodi Chernin & Mark Gallagher, Ronald & Elizabeth Kaplan, Robin & Jeffrey Faust, Michael & Carmella Chessen, Rick & Sonia Chessen, Kerri & Mark Lehmann, Jill & Gregory Cork; great-grandchildren, Laura, Max, Jessica, Matthew, Claire, Erin, Hila, Shira, Itamer, Daniel, Emma, Maya, Bobby, Kate, Charlotte, Anna, Lily and Maggie; numerous nieces, nephews and many devoted friends. Funeral services MONDAY, 1:30 PM, SHIR TIKVAH SYNAGOGUE, 5000 Girard Av. S., Mpls. Memorials are preferred to the Shir Tikvah Synagogue or the Minneapolis Foundation.
