Fling Jennifer Ann Fling, age 39, of Minneapolis, died at her home May 30, 2003, after a six-month battle with cancer. She lived and loved fully and was a warrior for justice and compassion in our community. Her irrepressible Irish wit and wisdom won her many friends and brightened even more lives. Though her departure is premature, she leaves us with a deeper appreciation of our blessings. Preceded in death by her father, Paul Fling, she is survived by her husband, Lee Sheehy of Mpls; mother, Margaret (Russell) Fling; and stepfather, William Rolandelli of Bloomington; sisters, Julie of Bloomington, Rebecca of Wayzata and Michelle of St. Paul; brothers, Matthew(Marilyn Ganje-Fling) of Mpls and Steven (Elizabeth) of Bainbridge Island, WA; nieces, Maureen Johnson and Rachael Fling; nephews, Anthony and Gregory Johnson and Paul, Nicholas, Connor and Alexander Fling; and great-nieces, Kianna and Kiera Johnson. Also, five step sisters and step brothers; many uncles, aunts and cousins; and countless friends who adored her and tenderly supported her and her family. Jennifer earned degrees from the College of St. Benedict and the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. Her career included teaching, law, public service and public broadcasting. She found a calling as a Certified Career/Life Coach who inspired clients, trained other coaches and took coaching into prisons to transform inmates and prison communities. Mass of Christian Burial June 2, 7 PM, at the Church of St. Edward, 9401 Nesbitt Ave. S., Bloomington. Visitation at St. Edward's, 2-4 PM, and one hour prior to the service. Private interment.
