Ritter, Leonard B. Age 89, of Bloomington. Passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 19, 2014. He was born March 11, 1925 in Graceville, MN to Ernest & Winifred (Foley) Ritter; his mother died May 6, 1925. He was raised by Sylvester and Stella (McKelvey) Ritter. He was preceded in death by all parents; 3 brothers, 3 sisters; daughter-in-law, Michele and brother-in-law, Frank Clark. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Juanita (Clark) Ritter and sons, David, Byron and Curtis; daughter, Cathy Ann Cowden; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara (Wayne) Mayberry of Maquoketa, IA and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Leonard was a Navy veteran of WWII and proud past Commander (2002-2003) of the Everett McClay VFW Post #1296 and member of the American Legion Post #435. Services will be held Monday, January 5 at 2:00 PM at Washburn-McReavy Werness Brothers Chapel, 2300 W. Old Shakopee Rd., Bloomington, with visitation one hour before service. Private interment at a later date at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Special thanks to Allina Home Hospice, Diane, Trisha & Mary, caregivers Josephine, Lorraine & Martha, and loving family members.
