Manker, Marie Triganne 53, of Men-dota Heights, passed away peacefully on December 13th, after a short illness. Preceded in death by her father Gilles Triganne and mother, Loretta Leonard, she is survived by daughter Nathalie, sister Jocelyne, brother Marc, and former husband Steve. Born in Quebec City, in 1961 she was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and St. Thomas University. Marie worked for 3M for over 20 years as a chemical engineer rising to the position of technical director. At Donaldson Company she was the director of global technical services. An energetic leader, Marie served as a role model and mentor to countless co-workers. Each colleague she touched is left with her own personal memory of how Marie advanced their career, supported their choices and encouraged their growth professionally and personally. Most recently, concurrent to her role at Donaldson, Marie joined the adjunct faculty at the U of M College of Science and Engineering. She had the same affect on her students, as attested by one who wrote "your words of encouragement would move anyone to try beyond their own expectations to live up to your vision of them. For this I am truly grateful each day." Friends will remember Marie for her strength, warmth, sense of humor and passion for life. Family was extremely important to her. She was extremely proud of Nathalie and supported her in each of her pursuits. Blessed with outstanding interpersonal skills, Marie leaves behind a large number of people who consider her a friend. This is her legacy. A memorial service will be held at O'Halloran & Murphy, 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul, January 3. 2:00-4:00 Visitation 4:00-5:00 Remembrance (advise jmtrig@sympatico.ca if you would like to say a few words).
