Micheal Jon Lutz was born on April 12, 1954 to Alex and Joyce (Iliff) Lutz in the parking lot of the community hospital in Princeton, Minnesota. Yes, he was indeed born in the parking lot. Micheal's father, Alex, played doctor and delivered his fifth child right there in the '51 Ford. Micheal grew up in Zimmerman, Minnesota and graduated from Elk River High School in the class of 1972. Shortly after graduation he worked for Weston Homes and went on to his career of over 30 years working at Menard's. Micheal had passion for John Wayne movies as well as other westerns. He also had a vast collection of western books. He was an avid collector of civil war memorabilia and was especially proud that his great grandfather, William R. Lovell, fought in the civil war. Micheal was famous for his wit and quick sense of humor and would always have a hilarious quip at the ready. He enjoyed working in his "Garden of Eatin'" growing a variety of vegetables. Micheal had some great times fishing with his dad, brothers, brother-in-law, and nephews at Kabelo Lodge in Canada. Above all Micheal was a devoted father and grandfather. Micheal and Trent built a smoker & grill where they spent time "James Bonding" and honing their culinary skills. Although Elissa lives in Washington State, they cherished their phone conversations and always looked forward to their visits. His children and grandchildren were his world.
