Marilyn (O'Rourke) Howitz

Howitz Marilyn (O'Rourke) Howitz, age 77, of Scottsdale, AZ, died unexpectedly the morning of May 25. A graduate of the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Marilyn was a church organist for 67 years. For the last 25 years she was the organist at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Scottsdale, AZ. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by husband, Louis; children, James of New Brighton, MN, Mark (Carol) of Buffalo Grove, IL, Chris (Brenda) of Tucson, AZ, Lisa (David) of Mpls., MN; brothers, Terence (Shirley) of Hobart, IN, Richard of New Brighton, MN; and grandchildren, Steve, Mike, Alex, Katie and Drew. Marilyn devoted her life to serving others. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all. Services Monday, June 2, with family prayers 9:30 AM at the Billman-Hunt Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Monday at St. Clement's Catholic Church, 911 - 24th Ave NE, Mpls. Interment St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
