Mullins Lila Sue Mullins, 71, of Black Mountain, died Wed., May 1, 2002 at her home. Mrs. Mullins was born in Clarksville, TX on May 13, 1930. The daughter of the late Rufus and Annie Strickland Arnold, Mrs. Mullins and her husband moved to Black Mountain two years ago from Plano, TX. Here she became a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Mrs. Mullins was an avid musician who composed and wrote her own rendition of The Lords Prayer, which was copyrighted in 1999. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Mullins, 4 sons, Michael Mullins of Eden Prairie, MN, Patrick Mullins of St. Paul, MN, Daniel Mullins of McKinney, TX, Stephen Mullins of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by 3 daughters, Kathleen Ward of Skyland, NC, Tamara Goalen and Mary Mabry, both of Black Mountain, NC, and 1 sister Betty Hughes of Quincy, IL; also 17 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Mon., May 6, 10 AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Black Mountain, NC. A funeral service will be held, Mon., May 13 in the Chapel of Turrentine, Jackson, Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, TX. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, TX.
