Westerman Robert E. ``Bob'' Westerman, age 59, of Maple Plain, MN passed away May 1, 2002 of injuries sustained at work. He owned and operated his own roofing business and was a master craftsman in his trade. Bob was a devoted and caring father, son, brother and friend. Survived by parents, Hilbert ``Slim'' & Helen Westerman of Maple Plain, MN; sons, Robert Westerman, Jr and John Westerman; grandchildren, Katherine and Brandon Westerman; brother, Jack; sisters, Donna Lambert & husband, Rodney and Carol Velie & husband, Vincent, who was like a brother to him. Bob was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bob loved the Oregon coast, the mountains of Montana, and he enjoyed his visits there hunting elk and deer, and fishing the trout streams. He was proud to be a member of the Elk Foundation. As a young man Bob lived on the Oregon coast and worked as a logger. Bob's greatest pride in life were his two sons, Robert Westerman, Jr of Newport, OR and John Westerman of Portland, OR. Funeral service Sunday, 2 pm, at Huber Funeral Home in Mound (952-472-1716). Memorials preferred to Robert Westerman Fund at Maple Plain Bank.
