Gregory Henry Mae (Jean) Gregory, age 90, former resident of Tampa, FL, and for the past 14 years a resident of Bloomington, passed away March 18th. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redemption, an artist and art teacher, and an employee of Have-A-Tampa for thirty-two years. She was preceded in death by her loving parents; beloved husband, O. Howard Gregory; beloved son, George M. Brown, and beloved daughter, Barbara Pagel. Survived by son-in-law, William Pagel of Bloomington, daughter-in-law Virgina Brown of Valrico, FL; 2 stepsons, Gary Gregory of Texas and Howard Gregory of Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Ruth Brown of Tampa, FL and Virginia Van Horn of Kentucky. Jean was an active member of Desoto Park Lions Auxiliary and served two terms as its President. She was awarded a letter of congratulations from Congress as Volunteer of the Year for her work with the Bureau of Blind and Lighthouse for the Blind. A special thank you to Fairview Homecare care givers and special thanks to Linda Cooper and Karen Tuma. Funeral service Tues. 1 PM at Lutheran Church of the Redemption, 927 E. Old Shakopee Rd., Bloomington, with visitation one hour prior to service. Further services and burial will take place in Tampa, FL at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
