Elizabeth O'Shea Gifford

Gifford Elizabeth O'Shea Gifford, age 102, died suddenly on Saturday, April 20, while recovering from surgery. She is survived by her husband, Lyle; her son, Daniel and his wife Ann; grandchildren, Karen, Christine and Stephen; grandsons-in-law, Rajesh Desai and Michael Kurr; and great-grandchildren, Aman and Meera Desai. She was a singer, pianist, and organist in the Upper Mohawk Valley region of New York State from the 1920s into the 1950s. She performed in local theaters during the 1920s and later played the organ in several churches. Still later, she assisted her husband who managed a textile factory.
