Kessen, Lauren Marie Lauren was born on January 31, 1985 in Hinsdale, IL and died unexpectedly on November 22, 2014 in Minneapolis, MN. Lauren was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, teacher, and friend. Lauren married the love of her life, Brian Robert Kessen in 2008. Lauren taught school for four years in the San Bernandino School District while Brian attended Medical School. After the birth of Benjamin Robert Kessen, Lauren's focus was her son and being a stay-at-home mom. She recently blessed the world with their newborn daughter Leah Marie Kessen, who completed their family. Lauren was currently completing her Master's Degree in Education Administration. Her love for books and knowledge will be continued in the legacy of her children. In addition to her husband Brian, son Benjamin, and daughter Leah, Lauren is survived by her parents, Pamela and Mark Krueger, Ronald Smith and Diane Aves, in-laws Bob and Dee Kessen and brother-in-law, Michael Kessen. Lauren is further survived by her sisters, Jamie (Justin) Fisher and their son Riley, and Jodie (Christopher) Savickis. She is also survived by grandparents, Margaret LaLonde, Bette Peterson, Ron and Arlene Krueger, Alfred Balzer, and Irene Liebers and Diane's children, Sarah, Emily, and Christian. Lauren also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 28, 2014 with visitation from 12:30 PM until time of the service at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home, West 50th St. & Hwy. 100, Edina, MN. A private graveside service to follow.
