Dibble John "Jack" Dibble passed away February 19, 2005 at age 76. Preceded in death by parents Herbert and Sadie, brothers Roger and Merle. Survived by wife Claudine, daughters Barbara Nieland of Edina, Patty Schmidt (Karl) of Edina, son John of Bloomington, and 3 grandsons. Also survived by brother Paul Dibble of Palm Desert, CA and many nieces and nephews. Jack graduated from Pipestone High School and attended Creighton University. He graduated from the General Motors Institute. In 1952 he married Claudine VanNieuwenhuyzen. Jack was a fighter pilot in the Korean War, flying over 100 missions and earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal. In 1956, he opened a GM dealership in Miles City, MT. In 1959, he settled in Austin, MN and opened Dibble Pontiac Buick GMC. Jack served as director of the Austin United Way for 7 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling in his motor home. His ever present smile will be missed by many. Private interment. Visitation 1/2 hour before service at the church. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 1 pm at St. Leo's Church, Pipestone. A celebration of Jack's life will be held Tuesday, March 1 at 2 pm at St. Augustine Church, Austin.
