Carlson, Raymond Gunnar Age 88. Lifelong resident of Minneapolis, died November 20 after an extended illness. Preceded in death by parents Andrew and Julia Carlson, and younger brother Wilbert. Ray is survived by his wife Gertrude, son Richard, and his children Jenni and A.J., daughter Jane and Bob Aldrich, and their children, Peter and Thomas. He attended Minneapolis Central High School and the University of Minnesota. US Navy veteran. Retired in 1983 from Wells Fargo, previously Northwestern National Bank. Ray was a whistler and a putzer, he loved his family, absolutely delighted in his grandchildren, was devoted to his church and liked nothing more than sharing a cup of coffee with you and a stay at the lake. He was always willing to lend a hand. Memorial service Tuesday, November 25 at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4120 17th Avenue South, Minneapolis, beginning at 11 a.m, with visitation at 10 a.m., prior to the service.
