Armstrong Climene Strong Armstrong, 88, of Rochester. Memorial service 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at Samaritan-Bethany Heights Chapel, with Pastor Larry Tantow officiating. There will be no visitation or reviewal. Mrs. Armstrong, formerly of Grand Rapids, MN & Mesa, AZ, died at the Samaritan-Bethany Heights on April 24, 2002. Climene was born on Sept. 8, 1913 in Mpls., MN. She graduated from Central High School and later attended the University of MN. She married Dean D. Armstrong June 4, 1934 in Osage, IA. They lived in Grand Rapids and retired to Mesa. Mrs. Armstrong was a housewife and her husband was president of the Grand Rapids Savings and Loan Assoc. She was a lifetime member of Jephthah Chapter No. 176 Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (Duane) Brakke of Rochester; 3 grandchildren, Todd (Shari) Brakke and Tammy (Chuck) Radloff of Rochester, and Theresa (Dan) DeGrace of Mpls.; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy (Harold) Holmer of Mpls., and Nancy J. Carlson of Denver, CO; friends and caregivers at Samaritan-Bethany Heights. She was preceded in death by her husband. Inurnment will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Mesa, AZ. Memorials are suggested to Samaritan-Heights, 1530 11th Avenue NW, Rochester, MN, 55901.
