Miller Martin, age 80, died peacefully on April 21st, 2002 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born November 3rd, 1921 in Mpls. He will always be remembered by his family as a gentle, devoted, kind and generous husband, father, brother and grandfather. Preceded in death by brothers, Ruben and Ben. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Esther; children, Louise & Jerry Ribnick, Teresa Miller and Mike & Julie Miller; grandchildren, Samuel, Joel and Tali Ribnick, Cali and Zachary Miller; brother & sister-in-law, Beryl & Florence Miller; sisters, Hilda Thale and Priscilla Dworsky; and many nieces and nephews. Marty served in Europe in the 75th Infantry Division during WW II and was awarded a Bronze Star for his action under fire. Upon returning home Marty joined his father and beloved brothers as owners of the Sam Miller Bag Co where they worked together for nearly 50 years. Marty was active in his community, volunteering for the Mpls Jewish Federation, Jewish Vocational Service and on the board of Adath Jeshurun Congregation for many years, where he received the Shem Tov award for devoted service. Funeral services were held yesterday at Adath Jeshurun Congregation. Memorials preferred to the Struthers Parkinsons Center, Adath Jeshurun Congregation and the Mpls Jewish Day School.
