Lindholm (nee Bezanson) Ann Laurie. 110 years young - Born Jan 30, 1892 in Mpls, MN; passed away peacefully 4/19/02. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Cedric, brother, James Bezanson, sisters, Grace Stone, Edith Bertelson, and Pearl Witham. She is survived by niece, Peggy Albertson of Sarasota, FL, nephews, Bob Bezanson, and Charles Lindholm; and many nieces and nephews. To all, she was Aunt Ann. Ann was a Minneapolis schoolteacher for 43 years. She taught at Hiawatha Elem. for 25 yrs and at the then new Waite Park Elem. School. She was loved by the over 1200 students who passed through her classrooms, as witnessed by the many who took the time to look her up and then sent than you nots, called or visited her. Ann graduated from Winona Teachers College back in the days when such schools were called Normal schools. Ann was a charter member of Temple Baptist Church of Mpls. She served as Pres. of both the Women's Society and the Bible class. Both Ann & Cedric were active members of the Twin City Puppet Club. She was a Big Sister for the Cream of Wheat Co., a member of Children's Hospital's Grandmothers Club, a volunteer at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and delivered Meals on Wheels. She was Pres. of the Council of Retired Teachers and President of the House Council at the Retired Teachers Residence. Ann had given up her home in 1983 and had lived in the Residence until 1998 when she moved into Ebenezer Hall. During her years at the Retired Teachers Residence, Ann hosted a Valentine's party for the residents. (This Obit was written by Ann on 4/24/95 at the age of 103). Family interment Acacia Park.
