Lindsten Lillian Johnson, age 92, of Bryn Mawr, Minneapolis, died May 8, 2003 at Presbyterian Home Care Center, Spring Park. Preceded in death by husband, Wilbur L. Lindsten, Atty. A graduate of Hamline University, she had a long career, 31 years, of teaching English and Drama in Glencoe and St. Cloud. In 1943, as WWII was in process, she joined the USO as Program Director assigned to various Clubs, including Hawaii, before it was a state. She then returned in late 1946 and entered the Minneapolis School system, teaching at North High, retiring in January 1967. She is survived by stepdaughter, Lynn Lindsten Campbell (Robert) of Davis, CA and three grandchildren; brother, James V. Johnson (Betty), Moorhead; two sisters, Beatrice B. Wheeler (John), Mesa, AZ and Big Lake, MN, Mabel E. Johnson, Victoria, and many nieces and nephews. She had been a member of PEO Sisterhood, Chapter A for 50 years.
