Stueven LeRoy William Stueven, age 74, of New Hope, MN, passed away Dec. 30, 2004. Preceded in death by parents, Claus and Emma Stueven and sister, Irene. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Shirley (nee Myers) Stueven; daughter, Deborah (Mark) Valen; son, David (Susan) Stueven; daughter, Diane (Carl) Knox; grandchildren, Stacy Valen, Andrew (Melissa) Valen, Heather and Michael Stueven, A.J. Stueven and John Knox; great-granddaughter, Faith Valen; also survived by Marcella (Tom) Zallar and family and Ione Steele. Leroy is a 1948 graduate of Pipestone High School. He is a veteran of the US Navy. On June 14, 1953, he married Shirley Myers of Flandreau, SD. In 1955 LeRoy and Shirley moved from Pipestone to the Twin Cities. He was an Elder at the Presbyterian Church of the Master and a former President of the American Institute of Banking. In 1988 he retired after a 32 year career with Norwest Bank. Memorial service 7PM, Tues. Jan. 4 at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, West 50th St. and Vernon Ave at Hwy 100. Memorial Visitation 5-7PM on Tues. Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
