Catherine J. Hurd

Hurd Catherine J. "Cathy, Kay, Katie" (Klugman) Hurd, age 73, of Mpls, MN, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 3, 2003, surrounded by her family and friends after a month-long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park. Preceded in death by sons, James Patrick (Feb. 1967) and George Allen (Oct. 1996); both parents, Florence M. (Condon) and George Horton Klugman and brother, Charles Allen Klugman. Survived by her husband of 48 years, William Conrad Sr.; children, William Jr. (Mary Lou), Michael Joseph (Parvaneh), Annamarie (Ross) Brown, Teresa Jean (Wayne) Jones; grandchildren, Alan and Heather Hurd, Ashley (Whitman-Hurd) and Jessica Jones; sister, Leona May and husband Keith Sones; along with many loving relatives and dear friends. Graduate of John Marshall HS, attended college at the U of M, former employee of Norwest Bank (17 years) and Realtor, CRS, GRI at Harvey Hanson/Edina Real Estate (10 years). Also volunteer for Meals on Wheels as Coordinator and driver, and Catholic Defense League. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all her family, friends and neighbors who loved her. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the family to be directed to Mass Societies in Catherine's honor. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 6 from 5-8 PM at Werness Brothers, 3500 W. 50th St., Mpls. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 7 at 11 AM, with visitation 1 hour prior to service at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2914 West 44th St., Mpls.
