Quiggle Walter Henry, age 83 of Apple Valley, MN, passed away on Dec. 3, 2004. Walter was born June 10, 1921, in rural Warsaw Township of Rice County, MN to Wallace John and Alma Marie Heinrich Quiggle, graduated from Faribault High in 1939, worked at Lockheed Martin Aircraft, and served in the Army Air Corp from 1944-46. In 1943, he married Marjorie Cathleen Kruegel in Northfield, MN. He worked as a carpenter until 1950 when the family of 4 moved to Sauk Rapids, MN, where Walter remained employed at the St. Cloud Reformatory until retiring as the Plant Operations Superintendent in 1976. His lifelong natural talent as a musician included playing in the Al May Dance Band, The Nocturnes Big Band, and, most recently the N.O.W. Musicians of the Rosemount United Methodist Church. Marj and Walt moved to Apple Valley in April of 1989. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marjorie, children Sharyn Forbes, David and Dennis; one brother Ralph; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Orville and Harold; and 3 sisters, Ruth, Dorothy and Helen. A memorial service will be held Sunday Dec. 12 at 1:30PM at the Rosemount United Methodist Church, 14470 Canada Ave, Rosemount, MN. Private interment will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault, MN. Memorials are preferred. Twin Cities Cremation 612-866-6711
