Gearou, Robert LeRoy Bob, age 84, of Plymouth, MN passed away peacefully at home on October 30, 2014 surrounded by his family. He is survived by wife Bonnie, the love of his life of 61 years; sons Bob (Jodi), Tom (Deb); granddaughters Katie, Jessica, and Abbie; brother Dennis (Sharon) Bolster; and many dear nieces and nephews. Bob was born and raised in north Minneapolis, graduating from Patrick Henry High School in 1949. In 1950 he went into the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country in the infantry. After Korea he came back home and attended Dunwoody machine shop classes. In 1953, he married Bonnie Walker, and they lived in Brooklyn Center for 31 years before moving to Plymouth; he was a volunteer fireman in the Brooklyn Center Fire Department for 28 of those years. Bob started Bob, Inc. of New Hope, MN in 1969 which is still going strong today with their sons, Bob (Jr.) and Tom running the shop. Bob made many friends in the machine shop world and he continued to hang out at Bob, Inc. until his very last days. Bob was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling with his family and friends. He had hunted and fished all over the U.S., Canada, Central America and South America. He had a wonderful love of life and adventure. He is preceded in death by father Harold Gearou, Sr., mother and stepfather Inez and Bill Bolster, brother Harold Gearou Jr., and sister Delia Tolman, He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Many were blessed by his kindness, great love, and generosity. He will be deeply missed everyday of our lives. His Celebration of Life will be at Christ Church in Otsego MN (15849 90th St NE, Otsego, MN 55330) on Thursday, November 6,2014 at 11am. There will be a Reviewal one hour prior to the service.
