Frances Spira

Spira, Frances passed away on October 30, 2014. She was able to celebrate her 90th birthday on Sept 17 . Her immediate family are her daughter, Bonnie Kay, her loving husband, Leonard Spira, her stepson, Jeffrey Spira & stepdaughter, Ronna Colbert & many loving cousins. Frances was born to Meyer & Suzanne Spector & raised in Canada where she married the late Harry Kay. They moved to Minneapolis in 1952. Frances met Leonard in 1984 & married him 2 years later. They had 28 happy years filled with friends, family & travel. Frances was active & volunteered in the community. She was philanthropic. She particularly enjoyed music & the arts. Memorials are preferred to Amplatz Children's Hospital. Special gratitude to involved & supportive cousins Rochelle & Jim Landy & Robin & Bryan Landy Thanks to N.C. Little Hospice for their kindness in making Frances's last days peaceful. Respecting Frances's wishes, a public memorial service will not take place.
