Irene Vergelin Knox

Knox Irene Vergelin Knox, Oct. 23, 1917 - April 28, 2003, age 85, of Hopkins. Preceded in death by husband of 62 years, Arthur; daughter, Susie; brothers, Leo and Vendall. Survived by sons, Dennis (Cathy), Brian (Cheryl) and Kevin (Margaret); daughters, Lucia and Vergelin; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Ellsworth Johnson; and sister, Inez Belfanz. Active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for 52 years. She delivered Meals on Wheels with Art for many years. Devoted and loving wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother. She was always thinking of others and will be greatly missed by all. She is now at home with God and her beloved husband and daughter. Graveside service at Fort Snelling 10:30 AM, Memorial service 12:00 Noon, Visitation 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 3 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8115 W. Hwy. 7, St. Louis Park.
