Gail (LeRoux) Sweeney

Sweeney Gail (nee LeRoux), 64 years old, of Burnsville. Beloved wife, mother and friend, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2003. Preceded in death by her mother & father, Earney & Eleanor LeRoux. Gail is survived by her husband, William; daughter, Ann; sons, William, Michael and Daniel; daughters-in-law, Susanne and Susan; many step-grandchildren; her much loved dogs & cats, and many dear & precious friends. Originally from Coleraine, MN, Gail was an alumna of the College of St. Catherine and proudly worked as a nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul for 38 years. Gail spent her life advocating empowerment through education and the arts, and was devoted to canine obedience training and the welfare of animals. Her presence ringside with a loyal companion ready at her left side will be missed by many. We are all better people for having had Gail touch our lives. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 pm at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave S., Burnsville, and one hour before the funeral mass at the church. Funeral Mass Thursday, 11 am at Mary, Mother of the Church, 3333 E. Cliff Rd., Burnsville. Private interment Friday morning.
