Erickson Marion K., age 93, of Long Prairie, MN. Services held at American Lutheran Church on April 3, 2002. She was born Aug. 26, 1908 in Leeds, ND. She graduated from St. Olaf College in 1929 and taught Latin and history in Osakis, MN. She married Dr. Alvin Erickson on June 9, 1936. She was organist at American Lutheran 44 years and directed the junior choir many years. Marion was an accomplished seamstress and did other types of needlework until her death on March 29, 2002. Preceded in death by parents; infant son, James Allen; husband, Dr. Alvin Erickson; and sisters, Lillian Parker, New Rockford, ND and Thelma ``Sally'' Johnson, Mankato, MN. Survivors include daughters, Karen (Dr. Allen) Bergh, St. Croix Falls, WI and Mary (Kenneth) Megel, Omaha, NE; brothers, Dr. Harold R. Piltingsrud, Park River, ND and Clarence W. Piltingsrud, Canon City, CO; sisters, Helen Temple, Long Prairie, MN and Alice Bullard, Santa Cruz, CA; and grandsons, Erik Bergh, Minneapolis, and Jon (Jess Blue), Brooklyn, NY. Memorials preferred to the Sanctuary Piano Fund, American Lutheran Church, Long Prairie, MN 56347.
