Olson Edmund Richard, born Dec. 22, 1920 on the family farm near Hillsboro, North Dakota to parents, Ole & Johanna, and passed away April 26, 2003 in Crystal, MN at the age of 82. As a boy, he attended Eldorado Township School #5. Edmund was a WWII Army Veteran of the 71st Infantry Div. in Europe. He served on the Taft Elevator Board for many years. He lived his life as a farmer in Eldorado Township, ND until his retirement. He is preceded in death by sisters, Lilly Haugerud and Orrel Schlichtmann; brothers, Harry and Leonard Olson. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mildred (Hanson), currently of Brooklyn Park; their daughter, Diane (John) Murch of Brooklyn Park; grandchildren, Michelle (Jay) of Brooklyn Center, Mark (Jenny) of San Diego, CA, and Mandalie (Moses) of Brooklyn Park; great grandchildren, Zachary, Adam, and Tyrena; sisters, Myrtle Elton of Hillsboro, ND, Hazel Berve of Harvey, ND, and Selma Dullum of Hillsboro, ND; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation at the funeral chapel 2 hrs before service. Funeral Service 11:30AM Thurs., May 1, 2003 at First Memorial Funeral Home-Brooklyn Park with interment to follow at Ft.
