Johnson Mildred, age 83, of Otsego, passed away on Oct. 25, 2004 from congestive heart failure. She was born Jan. 3, 1921 in Laporte, MN. Survived by her husband of 61 years, Knute, age 92, and her sons, Marlin of Eagan, Richard of Otsego; grandsons, Brian, U.S. Navy and Christopher of Eagan, and her special granddaughter, Tasha of Otsego, whom she helped raise. Also survived by many friends. Preceded in death by parents, Fred & Ebba Hjelm. Mildred was raised on a farm and as a little girl attended school in the Dad's Corner/McGrath area. On Sept. 4, 1943, she was united in marriage to Knute at the Presbyterian Church in Mora. Mildred and Knute have lived in various places including North Branch, Redwood Falls, Coon Rapids, Blaine, Glen, Ramsey and most recently, Otsego. Mildred enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, going out to eat, and being with her family & friends. Funeral service Thursday, 11 AM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, W. Main St. & Branch Ave., Anoka.
