Wold, Dennis T. 73, of Brooklyn Park, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014. Dennis was born April 25, 1941 in Minneapolis, the son of Standley and Ann (Nali) Wold. Following high school, Denny enlisted in the US Navy and served his country before being honorably discharged. Dennis had two children from a previous marriage when he married Ruth Spencer-Meide, the mother of five children, in 1979. Dennis was a loyal employee and worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Metal Matic for 44 years. He retired in 2003.Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth; grandson, Drew; stepson, Mark; stepdaughter, Shirley; and son-in-law, Tony. He is survived by his children, Tracy of Georgia and Jody (David) Schafer of North Dakota; stepchildren, David (Jean) Meide of Staples, Connie (Larry) Moorleghem of Las Vegas, NV, Kellene (Joe) Walters of Coon Rapids; brother, Jim of Minneapolis; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.
