Ablan Lucille Martha, of St. Paul, MN. Predeceased by parents, Joseph A. & Josephine Z. Ablan; & sisters, Carmella & "Jo" Ablan. Survived by the following families: Ablan, Awada, Abrass, Becker, Coury, Damian, Etoll, & Macy of St. Paul, Aftoora of Cleveland, OH, Geha of Toledo, OH, George of Birmingham, AL, Markos of LaCrosse, WI, Samaha of Arlington, VA, & Zoghibe of Olean, NY. Miss Ablan carried on her father's business, Joseph A. Ablan Linens in the Twin Cities area from 1962 until the time of her death. She leaves MANY special friends & her business assistants, Gary W. Gustafson & P.B. Ritter. She was a graduate of the University of MN. She belonged to The Women's City Club of St. Paul, The International Institute, & served as General Chairman of The Arabic Speaking Group at the 1958, 1961, & 1964 Festival of Nations. She was a member of Macalester Park Chapter OES & was originator & charter member of the Adettes. Most recently a member of The National Association of Arab Americans, ANERA, Americans for Middle East Understanding, Anti-Discrimination Co- mmittee, Council for the National Interest, & St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. She was a reporter for The Syrian Ark, The National Herald, & The Trestle Board magazines. There will be no reviewal. Funeral & interment at Oakland Cemetery are private. No memorials please.
