Holloway Edward Lee Holloway, age 85, of Brooklyn Center & Copperfield Hills, Robbinsdale, went home to be with the Lord, April 16, 2003. Preceded in death by son, Michael and grandson, Johnathan. Survived by wife, Agnes; daughter, Sharon Thorsgaard and son, Rev. Ed Jr. (Marsha); grandchildren, Ruth and Leif Thorsgaard, Melissa (Alex) Menter, Andrew (Maria) Holloway and Gabriel Holloway; great-grandchildren, Emma and Noah; brother-in-law, Bill Carmichael; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ed was born in McLeansboro, IL, and came to Minnesota while working on a river boat on the Mississippi. After falling in love and marrying Agnes, he spent a year working in the Arctic Circle. He had numerous employers including Archer Daniels, General Mills, Possis, and retired from FMC. Ed loved to hunt, fish, garden, and tell stories - enjoying these activities with his family. He was a member of the Rose Society and President of the Iris Society. Ed served on the board of Hope Lutheran Church and "Good News for Israel." He loved the Lord with all his heart. Service Wed., 11 am, Hope Lutheran Church, 5200 Emerson Ave N. Visitation Tues., 5-7 pm, Washburn-McReavy Swanson Chapel, 1600 Lowry Ave N., and one hour prior to service at church.
