Christopher John Schams

Schams Christopher John, age 39, died suddenly Thursday, April 10, 2003 at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. Christopher was born on August 13, 1963, the son of Edward and Susan (Schubert) Schams in Winona, MN. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in business. Christopher was most recently employed with Hughes Network Systems in Germantown, MD as a senior buyer. Preceding his current position, he was employed as a senior materials manager for Plastocon in Oconomowoc, WI. Christopher is survived by his parents, Edward and Susan Schams, Montello, WI; wife, Alisa and children, Anthony, 9 and Britton, 5; sister, Linda Schams Kaestner, Felton, PA; brothers, Robert E. Schams, Burnsville, MN and Eric C. Schams of Milwaukee, WI; maternal grandmother, Margaret Schubert, LaCrosse, WI; nieces, Kelley Schams and Regan Kaestner; nephews, Ryan and Alex Schams, and Patrick Kaestner. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Lillian Schams and his maternal grandfather, Wetzel Schubert of LaCrosse, WI. Funeral services for Christopher will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Montello, WI. A time of visitation will be held at 10:00 am until the time of mass at 11:00 am. Father Rick Heilman officiating. Steinhaus-Wachholz Family Funeral Home in Montello is assisting the family with local arrangements. A memorial has been established.
