Strang Josephine "Jo" Strang, resident of Friendship Village, Bloomington, IL; formerly of Green Valley, AZ, died April 10, 2003 . Survived by son, Kent Strang (Sandra) Palos Verdes Estates, CA; daughters, Ann Whelan (John) of Edina and Linda Looney (Robert) of Taylor, TX; sister Mary Stevens of Silvis; grandchildren, Tracy Cefaratti (Samuel), Sue Williams (Scott), John Whelan (Pamela), Stacy Looney, Molly Thuma (Jeffrey), Krissy Lilljedahl (Robert) and Trish Barrett (Daniel); thirteen great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Walter C. Strang; brothers, Albert, John and Joseph Van Hoe, sisters, Agnes Burns, Frances Marshall, Antoinette Erhart and Catherine Meiresonne. Jo was born in Rock Island, IL on July 12, 1905, the daughter of Joseph and Louise Modde Van Hoe. She married Walter Strang on September 27, 1933 and resided in Des Moines, IA; Edina, MN and Omaha, NE before retiring to Green Valley in 1975. Memorials to Sharing and Caring Hands, Salvation Army or the donors choice. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL.
